Review for Lover at Last by J.R. Ward

After finishing Lover Reborn I knew there just had to be a book about Qhuinn and Blay, it just had to happen. They needed their happy ending too! This felt like the longest wait of my life but boy was it worth it! Nobody can create a fantasy world quite like J.R. Ward. The detail and imagery that goes into each of her novel's is incredible. You're immediately transported into the world of the Black Dagger Brotherhood. Each character has their own persona that completely differentiates them from the next. Her writing style is just amazing and flows beautifully. While I typically would NOT pay $15 for an eBook (I'd just borrow it from the library) you definitely get your moneys worth with this one, and this is something you want to OWN! From beginning to end its nonstop action and drama, and takes you right up to the 100% mark on your Kindle! (Love that!)

So now, about the story. Talk about an emotional roller coaster! I have cried for very few books, and this is one of them. For an author to write so beautifully and realistically to make you feel the characters pain is just an amazing thing. There were some loose ends that were not tied up but I'm guessing those will be addressed in the next book, The King, due out this time next year. I love that each of her books is able to pick up seamlessly right where the previous one left off. Its almost as if you never stopped reading. The angst & drama that is Qhuinn and Blay continued full force in this latest edition and while I lost hope a couple times I'm thrilled with the way everything panned out. I don't like to do spoilers so take what you will from that :) However, I will say that you can expect to hear more about the Lessers and various "friends" of the Brotherhood while reading.

All in all, I'd give this book more than 10 stars if possible. There's just no other series that can compare to the Black Dagger Brotherhood.
