Reviews for Beautiful Disaster AND Walking Disaster by Jamie McGuire
When I stumbled upon Beautiful Disaster I had originally started off reading the free sample. I was so hooked into the story that I downloaded the eBook, however I didn't have a wifi signal to get it on my Kindle so I continued reading on my phone. Needless to say hours later when I was finally able to download it I continued reading...and reading, and reading. I finished it the same day! I have never before been so desperate to read as when I started this book. What an amazing story! So well written and totally believable (as a real life scenario). You feel the angst and heart ache as if it was your own. In my opinion, when an author can make you feel so connected to their characters you know they're doing something right. Abby (Pidge) is probably my favorite female lead character in any book I've read. And Travis is just perfectly imperfect, making him oh so lovable. I highly recommend this book, its seriously unforgettable.
When the prologue along makes you burst into tears you know you're in for one hell of a ride. And what a ride it was! I absolutely LOVED Beautiful Disaster (finished it in a day) so I couldn't wait to get my hands on this one. I've never reread a story from another characters perspective before so I didn't really know what to expect, but I definitely was NOT disappointed! I have to say that hearing the story from Travis' POV makes a world of a difference. Being able to understand the reasons behind his actions and how deep his love for Abby is just blew me away. I honestly think I enjoyed Walking Disaster more than Beautiful Disaster, although both books were ridiculously amazing! The writing was perfect, the story flowed beautifully, and the characters just seemed so real and believable. I can't praise this book enough!
