I’ve always been a bad boy, with a very wicked reputation.

But then I met Madison – sweet, vulnerable, innocent Madison. She makes me feel as if there is hope for me. As if I could be a good man. I need her more than I need air to breathe.

There’s just one problem: Juliet. She’s a temptress who won’t take no for an answer. If I resist her, she’ll use our dirty secret to ruin everything with Madison.

I don’t want to lose Madison, but can I really change?

This is my chance to prove that I can. But it’s going to be one hell of a ride.

Are you ready?

Wicked Dix (Hard Love Romance, #2)Wicked Dix by Monica James
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

My favorite manwhore is back!! Well, technically he's a reformed manwhore. Dixon is now flying the straight and narrow (or at least he's really trying to), and has become a one woman man. His eyes and his heart are focused solely on Madison. It shouldn't come as a surprise that Juliet is none too happy about it. She's holding that one little golden ticket over Dixon's head to get him right where she wants him. So the big question here is, what is he going to do?? How is he going to get himself out of this mess without upending his entire world and destroying the relationship he's built with Madison?? There are lots of poor choices made this time around, as well as secret keeping, and intense drama... but would you really want it any other way?? Wicked Dix is another wild ride in the Hard Love Romance Series!!

I adore Dixon and Madison as a couple. Despite their different backgrounds, they compliment each other well, and really do bring out the best the other has to offer. I'm totally on board with their relationship, 110%... but they both worked my nerves something fierce in this second installment. Dixon for his horrible way of handling his situation, and Madison for being so... I don't know, perfect? I felt she was a bit too judgmental for my liking. Regardless of their shortcomings, it made for quite the page turner. I know I was glued to my Kindle from the moment I started reading.

Even though I absolutely hate Juliet, I like that she was given a bit more dimension this time around. I'm sure we can all agree that in Dirty Dix she left much to be desired. Her personality was just plain atrocious, and I know I definitely wasn't rooting for her to win Dixon's undivided attention. With all that set aside, there is actually a lot more to her than we initially thought. To put it bluntly, she's got enough issues to keep a psychologist employed for decades. Hidden behind a facade of over zealous sex appeal and highly over exaggerated self-confidence is a girl who is desperate for attention and acceptance. She wants to be somebody's #1, their first choice. Unfortunately, she goes about remedying that in all the wrong ways, but I'm holding onto hope for her that the answer is out there somewhere.

I love how Monica combines heartbreaking drama and humor in the same book. She tugs at your heartstrings and absolutely devastates you one minute, and then has you chuckling at Dixon and his friends antics/witty banter the next. It's all woven together seamlessly, with fantastically flawless writing. Of course I highly recommend Wicked Dix and look forward to seeing what else this series has in store for us!

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Monica James has reinvented the manwhore, and made him, dare I say, likeable?? To be completely honest I was expecting to dislike Dixon based on principle alone – he’s a manwhore - but Ms. James has a way of making these guys (yes there’s more than one manwhore in this story) seem like big teddy bears that just make poor choices when it comes to sex. Many, many poor choices. Yet you can’t help but feel for them, and their misguided attempts at finding happiness.

Dixon is a smooth talking, hotter than sin Psychologist who specializes in addictions, which is quite the coincidence considering he’s got an addiction of his own. Can you guess what it is?? SEX!! Yep, Dr. Hotty McHotPants is addicted to sex. It started out innocently enough as a way to get over the betrayal of his ex-girlfriend, but then spiraled way out of control. Like way, way out of control.

After a year of some insane promiscuity two very different women catch his eye. Juliet, a patient who seems like a perfect match for Dixon since she shares the same addiction, and Madison, who has so much more to offer and makes him crave more than just the physical. They personify the classic devil and angel on his shoulders. But which will he choose?? And will he really be happy with his decision??

I can assure you it’s a wild ride until the very end! The last 20% or so had me so tense while I was reading that I suffered some crazy neck pain after I was done. And then I couldn't even believe what I had just read! We’re not left with a cliffhanger, since all the loose ends are tied up. But now we’re left wondering, what’s going to happen next?? I’ve already harassed the author about the release of the 2nd book in the series because I just can’t wait to find out, and she assured me it’s going to be just as intense!

I have to put my judgey pants on for a second, and back track a little bit to talk more about Dr. Hotty McHotPants . Dixon’s behavior made him totally unworthy of Madison, and at times I wish she would’ve see that and made the decision a little more easier on him by eliminating herself from the “competition.” But no, the attraction was too intense to ignore and she wanted him just as badly as he wanted her. Plus they really did have an undeniable connection that went beyond extra curricular bedroom activities, which seemed to be Juliet's forte. Yet, in spite of his faults, I still can’t hate him! And while I really despised Juliet, I still couldn't help but envy her sex appeal and confidence. She knew what she wanted and went after it regardless of the consequences, even if she was a bit over the top sometimes.

Addicted to Sin is an absolute MUST read! The writing is practically flawless, the characters are deeply developed, and the story line is unique and absolutely captivating. Without a doubt I would highly recommend this one!
